Mario and Precious
Mario and Precious ended up at our rescue within weeks of each other.   They both were very young and came with serious issues.    Mario had been horribly abused as a young puppy by a cruel and ignorant man, and Precious had been dumped in the middle of winter and had serious health issues.   She fought pneumonia, frostbite and chronic upper respiratory infections for a very long time.   more...



Fancy

Fancy is a four year old Am. Cocker. She is one of the prettiest Cockers I have ever seen although she is a little larger than the modern day Cocker. She has been on our rescue site for years. Her problem is she does not make a good first impression as she is fearful of anyone or anything new and she acts like she could be aggressive or she submissive urinates. We have not recommended that she go to a home with children under the age of 10 or small dogs.
Another reason why Fancy has not found a home to date is because she requires professional grooming every 7 weeks as she has more hair than any of the other dogs we have here put together. She would be a great dog for someone who loves to thoroughly brush out a dog's coat every day as she actually is very good on the grooming table, but I have found most people are not interested in that much grooming on a daily basis.
